Booking
Please telephone or e-mail first to confirm availability and price. To book please fill in the Booking Form and submit it. If everything is ok we will send you an e-invoice which can be payed securely by credit card.
If the booking is made more than two months before the hire a deposit of £100 will be required, if made less than two months before the full amount will be due.
In the event of cancellation more than two months before the hire the hire fee will be refunded (minus an admin charge of £35). Cancellations later than two months from the hire will be entitled to a refund only in respect of the unused insurance premiums (approximately 30% of the hire fee) or at our discretion we may allow you to transfer to another date for an admin charge.
Pick Up
On pick-up you must bring with you the following documents-
- Both parts of your driving licence (if not photo licence you must also produce a valid Passport)
- Two utility bills including a bank statement less than a month old adressed to you at the address on your licence
- The credit card you made the booking with (yes the same one)
- Foreign nationals should also have evidence of a contact address in the uk -friends house or hotel perhaps
If you do not bring all of the above or any of them are not in order you WILL NOT be allowed to hire - no refund will be given - if you have any queries ask us BEFORE you book!
We will take a copy of your licence and a digital photo of you and take the balance of the hire fee from your card. At the same time we will take the security deposit from you either in cash or debit card (c/c incurs extra charge) the deposit is refuned on safe return.
You can then inspect the bike and a note will be made of any damage, you will be expected to return the bike in the same condition (fair wear and tear excepted). The bike must be returned with the same amount of fuel as when taken and while you have the bike you are repsonsible for punctures and tyre damage which includes abnormal wear - no burn-outs or doughnuts please! You are also responsible for any fines incurred during the hire - we will settle any received by us and charge your credit card.
While you have the bike you should treat it as you would your own, locks should be used when the bike is un-attended and where possible overnight storage should be in a secure yard or building.
Return
All bikes must be returned by the return time on the Hire Form, if you know you are going to be late ask for another days hire - providing the bike is not booked we'll charge you an extra day as a proportion of your hire (ie a seventh of the weekly rate or a third of the weekend rate). If we are not informed you will be charged at the 24 hour rate plus any costs we incur due to your lateness, and we will inform the police after 3 hours overdue, remember you will not be insured after the end of the original hire period unless you we have agreed to an extension.
Liability
The bikes are insured but you remain fully liable if your actions result in the refusal of a claim, for example, by leaving the keys in the ignition or drink driving.
The bikes are hired solely for social domestic and pleasure use and must not be used for any commercial use or any kind of racing/pacemaking- TRACK DAYS ARE NOT ALLOWED! At some stage we plan to have track day bikes available but our sports bikes are fitted with real time tracking and will immobilise the bikes if you attend a track without prior approval or the electrics are tampered with - if this happens, we will terminate the hire, collect the bike and you will lose your deposit.
Sometimes it is possible that your bike might not be returned on time by the previous hirer (or may have been damaged or stolen- aaargh!) if this occurs we will normally offer a replacement, if you are not happy with the bike offered we will refund of your hire fee, we will not be responsible for consequential loss. In the event that the bike is crashed or stolen whilst on hire the hire shall be terminated. In the unlikely event that the bike breaks down and cannot be repaired by the recovery service or manufacturers agent it will be recovered back to our premises and, providing that the fault is not a result of mis-use, we will offer an alternative (probably an upgrade) bike at our premises (if available) or a refund of the remaining hire fees, again we will not pay any consequential loss.
